Project Brief
To redesign an over grown, unloved and unused garden into a Low maintenance outdoor space.
Project description
After years of neglect and battles with overgrown vegetation the client decided they would like a low maintenance garden space where they could entertain in the summer and not worry about having to worry to much about maintenance.

The garden had problems with movement of earth from the vibrations of the train line behind the site and the existing retaining wall had to be replaced. By excavating back some of the soil and building a new retaining wall out of railway sleepers the garden was split onto two levels offering a green space above made of artificial grass, and patio on the lower level. A platform at the upper level allows for the future installation of a staircase so that the garden can be accessed from the living spaces on the 1st floor.
